“Give me yesterday’s bread, this day’s flesh, and last year’s cider”
Cider making is an art form. Hours of harvesting, pressing, fermenting and waiting go into every drop you pour into your glass. In between those things a cider maker is mastering their senses so they can determine the perfect measurements, vessels and techniques that will allow for the purest ciders to be born. Truth is, ciders are like snowflakes. No two ciders are the same. Their flavors are dependent on so many factors it can be near impossible to replicate one batch to the next, although we still give it our all to do just that. And the rich history of cider just adds to the uniqueness and quality of the experience. Ciders were commonly used by our ancestors, mostly because apple trees were one of the first crops to thrive for the initial settlers. But also because it was thought to be dangerous to drink water, and safer to drink something fermented. It was a way to encourage survival and wellbeing, which is exactly how we see it still. Of course water is very good for you now and we recommend half of your body weight in ounces per day. But our hard cider is low to no sugar, low calorie, gluten free and complex in character. We know you will find at least one of our ciders you love.
